Roadcuts exposed along Rt 519 south of Morehead and east of Cave Run Lake, eastern Kentucky in in the western Appalachian Mountains. Mississippian Newman Formation Shallow water shoaling carbonate, and storm deposits overlyng compacting and displaced soils.

Ages: Upper Mississippian represented by the Newman Fomation.
