Relatively uniformally bedded deepater fans deposits of the Carboniferous Ross Formation exposed in a cliff section at Loop Head, north of Shannon estuary, Co. Clare, Ireland (photograph by Haughton and Kendall, 2006). Note the monocline to the right or east. This feature extends along the coast from Loop Head to north of Kilkee.
