Laminaset

A relatively conformable succession of genetically related beds bounded by surfaces (called bedset surfaces) of erosion, non-deposition, or their correlative conformities. Bounding surfaces form over a longer period of time than beds and commonly have a greater lateral extent than bedding plane surfaces (AAPG Methods in Exploration 7, 1990).
