Lamina

A relatively conformable succession of genetically related laminae bounded by surfaces (called laminaset surface) of erosion, non-deposition or their correlative conformities. Bounding surfaces form rapidly (minutes to days) with smaller extent than encompassing bed (AAPG Methods in Exploration 7, 1990).
